Only yesterday (6/1/12) we revealed that before the weekend was over we would be posting our 3rd interview with a Desperate Scousewives star on this blog! Q: How did you get to be on the show?
A: All the cast are linked in some way, whether it be through friendships, modelling, work, relationships etc so when a few of the cast members went and met the producers, they were keen to meet their circle of friends (or allies in that case) and myself and Sam were asked to come meet the producers as they had heard about our relationship history with Joe and Danny and friendships with other cast members.
Q: Who are you friendly and not friendly with on the show?
A: I am friendly with all the cast members and we all get along like a family. Obviously some of us get on better than others but going to keep all the juicy information for on screen.
Q: Any secrets you can reveal about the upcoming episodes?
A: Lips are sealed but expect more drama!!
Q: What is it like being on the show and gaining fame?
A: It’s been an amazing experience and I have loved being in front of the camera which was all so new to me. Getting to live your everyday life out in front of the cameras has been so much fun. With regards to gaining fame, it hasn’t really bothered me that much, at the start it was a bit surreal and took me a while to adjust to everyone recognising me out and about and judging me as if they knew me. It has tested my mental strength and as a result has made me thicker skinned.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: Everything now is an opportunity so let’s see what happens, I would love to eventually get into television presenting.
Q: Have you had a favourite moment of the series so far?
A: Yes, I really enjoyed the Style awards and the little bit of mischief myself and Sam got up to that night.
Q: What are the positives and negatives of being on the show?
A: The main negative is Twitter, the way that people take to it to express such anger and send abusive comments as though they personally know us, but by far the positives of just being on the show outweighs the twitter issues as I get to work with such professional cast and crew.
Q: Who do you aspire to be like, if anyone?
A: Yes Madonna, I have always admired her as a good role model for her strong minded drive and independence and she is not afraid to express herself and does so much humanitarian
work for charity around the world. Madonna is a mum and also has a career that has gone from strength to strength throughout the years. But the main person I aspire to be like is my mum as she is such an inspiration to me as she raised me as a single mum and things were not always easy for her but she is a fighter.
Q: Do you have a best friend on the show?
A: Yes of course that’s Sam. She’s the baby of the Scousewives but we’re like two peas in a pod and double the trouble.
Q: Are you in a relationship with anyone on the show?
A: No.
Q: Do you see the cast outside of filming?
A: Yes all the time, I was friends with most before the show but since filming we have all grown closer which is good. We go on nights out together and also go for lunch/dinner together and meet up regularly.
Q: Do you have a strong opinion of anyone in the show, if so, who and what is your opinion of then?
A: Yes, Joe is not the lad that I though he was, I never thought he’d speak about me the way he has on national TV in such a derogatory manner. It just shows his complete lack of respect for me. Joe and Elissa’s relationship is not something that I want to be involved in and I wish them all the best if they do get back together.
Q: What exactly happened/is happening between you and Joe?
A: Joe and I have got history, he originally asked me out on a date about 5 years ago and I went on a date with him and got bored and went home, I later texted him saying that I wasn’t interested. Little did I know until Elissa informed me on the show that he was with her at that time, which caused a lot of drama. Over the years he persistently asked me at any given opportunity to let him take me out again. Eventually we started seeing each other again and this ‘2pm kiss’ became a reality. I stayed at Joe’s twice and nothing further to comment on that. We went through phases where he would chase me and I him but neither never really knew where we stood with one another, which prevented things from getting more serious. Joe has always made the first move and gave me the impression he’s interested as he always texts me asking to meet him or go on a date, but he does this with lots of women. Joe has very little respect for women and has treated me as this bunny boiler that couldn’t resist him, well ‘he wishes’. I wish him well in whatever he does.
Q: Is there anyone on the show you really dislike working with?
A: At one point it would have been Joe but I’ve moved on now.
Q: Did you know any of the cast before the show, and have they changed since the show began?
A: Yes I knew everyone except Jodie and Chloe as I either modelled or worked with them or knew them from going out and everyone has remained grounded from the very first day of filming.
Q: Will there be a 2nd series of DSW? (We hope so!)
A: I hope so, fingers legs n toes crossed.
Q: How do you feel about/anything to say to the 'haters' on twitter?
A: I love them all, haters are my motivators.. it’s better to be spoken about than not at all.
Q: Do you have any regrets about DSW?
A: Yes my bad relationship with Joe.
Q: How did you become a model?
A: I started with a local modelling agency back home in Ireland at the age of 12 and it’s taken off from there really. It’s not been easy and I’ve had my fair share of knocks just like anyone else but that’s the nature of the business.
Q: Do you watch MIC or TOWIE and how do you feel about these 'rival' shows?
A: Yes I’m addicted to TOWIE, love it. I don’t see them as rivals as they carved the way for reality TV so I have upmost admiration for the cast. I don’t watch MIC.
Q: Do you have any hobbies or unusual talents?
A: If shopping is a hobby, then that.. as I love fashion and girly days out. I also love astrology; it’s something that’s always fascinated me. My unusual talent has got to be Irish dancing which will be featured in ep7 on the show.
Q: What are your opinions of the 2 newest Scousewives?
A: Keely is a lovely down to earth girl, what you see is what you get. She’s so sweet and I love the way she styles her hair. Steve is a nice kid hopefully him and Elissa work out because they are a boss couple and personally I think they look good together.
Q: Have you been treated differently by anyone due to being an Irish scousewife?
A: No, everyone on the show has made me feel at home, I love Liverpool it’s my home from home as I have been here for years now.
Q: On the show you have had fights with Amanda, Elissa, Joe and Jaiden. Would you consider yourself as someone who is looking for a fight and do you have anything to say about these fights?
A: I’m not a bitchy or confrontational person at all, but they're all nice people, I’ve got no bad feelings for anyone on the show.
Q: Do you have anything to say to our readers?
A: Stay tuned, I hope everybody is enjoying watching the drama unfold and It’s an honour to be part of Desperate Scousewives.
