We're BACK! Reality TV Recap!

After an impromptu break, realitykinguk is back and better than ever!

During our break, which began shortly after the celebrity big brother final, a lot has happened in the world of reality television, so here is a recap!

Celebrity Big Brother-
Denise Welch beat Frankie Cocozza, Gareth Thomas, Michael Madsen, and Karissa and Kristina Shannon on the final night of CBB and took home the crown. Shortly after the show, Welch announced that she was leaving her husband, which explains all the flirting with Madsen. Since the show the Shannon twins have been planning their own reality TV show, as have the "Hugh Hefners" of England, Kirk Norcross and Frankie Cocozza. Norcross and Cocozza's show is set to be finalised this week and will air on channel 5, there has been no recent news on the Shannon twins show.

Dancing On Ice-

Since the beginning of Dancing On Ice, 6 celebrities have been eliminated. These celebrities were, in order of elimination: Andy Akinwolere, Laila Morse, Mark Rhodes, Corey Feldman, Charlene Tilton and Rosemary Conley. The show continues this Sunday night on ITV 1.

Playing It Straight-

The new reality television show follows a single girl in a Hacienda in Spain, with multiple men, some are gay, and some are straight. The single girl, Cara, has to eliminate a man week by week, if the last man standing is straight, then both Cara and the man win £25000, however if the man is gay, Cara wins nothing, but the man wins £50000. The competitions semi final airs this Monday night at 10pm on E4, there is currently 6 men left.

Britain’s Got Talent-

The show's auditions are underway with new judges David Walliams and Alesha Dixon, and the show will return in the not-so-far future! We'll be bringing you updates

Made In Chelsea-

Made In Chelsea was commissioned for a 3rd series and is currently being filmed. Stick with us for updates!

Big Fat Gypsy Weddings-

Big Fat Gypsy Weddings is now back! Every Tuesday at 9pm on Channel 4. The show follows travellers as the girls attend their first holy communions and the women get married. The weddings and communions are always filled with huge dresses, lots of fake tan, and make very good TV. Make sure you tune in!

Desperate Scousewives-

After the 1st series, which we loved, the cast are eagerly awaiting the news on whether or not they have been commissioned for series 2. We hope that the show will be commissioned, stick with us for updates.

The Only Way Is Essex-

The BAFTA winning show is back! So far we've seen James "Arg" and Lydia split up, and Mario and Lucy split up and then rekindle their love. The show is different without Mark Wright, Harry Derbridge, Kirk Norcross and Maria Fowler, but we still love it. We have been introduced to new characters, James 'Diags' one of Joey's close friends, Georgina, a mutual friend of all the girls, and Ricky, another friend of the boys. Joey has fallen for Georgina however the feelings aren’t yet reciprocated! Tune into TOWIE every Wednesday and Sunday at 10pm on ITV2. If you don't, you'll be "100%, Well Jell!"

Geordie Shore-

Geordie Shore is also back on our screens, with an extended 8-episode run, every Tuesday at 10pm on MTV. The cast has two new additions, Rebecca and Ricci, however Greg has left. Vicky and Sophie began the new series with boyfriends, however there is a budding romance between Vicky and new male Ricci. This week we find out if she chooses her boyfriend or Ricci. James finally 'banged' after two series, but not with Holly, despite her being desperate for it. However, trailers for this week’s episode hint that Holly and James may finally get it on. Vicky and new female have been fighting a lot and they definitely don't like each other! Gary and Charlotte also 'banged' multiple times, including on the 1st night in the new house. As a result of this and their strange on/off relationship, Charlotte left the house, however she returns this week. Jay and Rebecca have also been part of a budding relationship. Tune in this week to see the cast grafting by doing spray tans, and going out clubbing and getting MORTAL! We'd also like to say thank you to Gary and Vicky from the show for following us on twitter.

Now that we're all up to date with Reality TV, be sure to follow us and twitter and regularly check our blog or sign up to it as we'll be tweeting and blogging a lot more about the fantastic reality television here in the UK.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH TOWIE STAR ELLIE REDMAN

Star of the hit show The Only Way Is Essex and creater of the hit slogan and bootcamp No Carbs Before Marbs, Ellie Redman, has taken part in an interview with RealityKingUK! We revealed our interview with Ellie on twitter a few days ago and we promised to post it at 9pm on Sunday night. It's 9pm so here it is!! . Read on to find out everything from how Ellie came to be on the show, to how she started the slogan "No Carbs Before Marbs"! Leave us a comment telling us what you thought of the interview and what you want to see on the new series of TOWIE which starts NEXT SUNDAY (29/1/12) !!! Follow us on twitter @realitykinguk where we'll be tweeting all things reality tv and you can just say hi!

Thanks for reading

1. How did you get to be on TOWIE?

It was over Facebook. I got a message from one of the casting directors as one of my best friends Lydia was going to feature in it and in order for her to come into the show she needed a friend, that was Series 1 in which I only did two mini scenes. I was introduced properly in Series 2.

2. Who are you friendly and not friendly with on TOWIE?

I'm friendly with all of the TOWIE lot, closest to Lydia as she is one of my best friends!

3. What is it like being on the show and gaining fame?

It is crazy when people ask for pictures, getting asked to do appearances in clubs and seeing yourself in magazines that you've always read is weird.   I don't see myself as famous though.

4. What are your plans for the future?
My No Carbs Before Marbs bootcamp is going to be my main focus. I never thought that I would one day have my own business and I want to make a great success of it. It will be a massive achieviement for me! So my plan for the future is to have a successful business with my No Carbs Before Marbs bootcamp.

5. Have you had a favourite moment of the TOWIE so far?
Filming the slimming club scene was brilliant fun.  We spent the whole time laughing and also the fact that my saying became such a hit with the public made that scene even more special to me.

6. What are the positives and negatives of being on the show?

It is a great opportunity and opens so many new and exciting doors.  Everyone has managed to start their own businesses along with amazing new lives. For me, I have had no negatives from being on the show but I suppose the show goes deeper in to some people's lives for example the troubles in their relationships and that must be emotionally hard to deal with.

7. Who do you aspire to be like, if anyone?

I aspire to be like Angelina Jolie, she is beautiful, a great actress, a wonderful mother and a goodwill ambassador for UNHCR.
8. Do you have a bestfriend on the show?
Yeah Lydia is my best friend on the show, she was before the show as well!
 9. Do you see the cast a lot outside of filming?
Well we all live near each other so I'm often bumping into them in the locals and at mutual friend’s birthdays.   I see a lot of them!
10. Did you know any of the cast before the show, and have they changed since the show began?
I knew Lydia, Debbie, Arg, Mark, Frankie and Joey before the show and they seem how they always were, down to earth lovely people.

11. Will you be featuring in series 4 of TOWIE?
It's always last minute with the show so you never know what they have in mind.
12. Do you have any regrets about TOWIE?
None at all, it has only ever opened windows of opportunity for me and I can't be more thankful.
13. How did you get the idea and then initiate "No carbs before marbs" bootcamp?
As the saying was so successful and I was getting masses of people asking me for diet tips, I thought why not make a base where people can come and learn dietary advice as well as exercise routines and they can lose weight with me. I thought it could become a way of life instead of a temporary plan you follow before a holiday. Something that they can maintain and continue at home.
14. How does it feel to be the creator of the brilliant slogan "No Carbs before Marbs?
It is amazing, I am so proud that is my saying! I had no idea it would become this big. I'll be watching the likes of Loose Women and This Morning and my phrase will just pop up in conversation. I even saw an article on Simon Cowell the other day with the heading "no carbs before barbs" its crazy. I was thinking about asking him if he would like to help me set up a bootcamp in Barbados. Its brilliant to be the creator! People know me as the ''no carbs before marbs girl' and I love it, it’s hilarious!

15. Do you watch Made In Chelsea or Desperate Scousewives and how do you feel about these 'rival' shows?
I absolutely love them both, I don't see them as rival shows because all our shows are so different and bring something different to the table. I love that it’s given me something fun to watch in the evening.

16. Do you have any hobbies or unusual talents?
Not that I can think of, my voice is an unusual talent on its own!
17. Can you tell us and our readers all about your new bootcamp?
It's a bootcamp by day spa by night! Every day our campers will wake up around 6am and our military trainers will put them through a series of circuits and any other exercises that they have up their sleeve. Our nutritionist will put them on a special diet to achieve the results they've requested to achieve! In the evening they can chill out in the spa which contains a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and then return to their luxury bedrooms to watch tv on there plasma screens!

18. How did you become a health "guru" who people often turn to for advice on healthy eating?
I've always been into watching what I eat and going to the gym, so my close friends knew to ask me for my latest diet tips but the show has made it publicly known that I'm a health guru and if you would like dietary advice then turn to me!

19. Do you have anything to say to our readers?
No Carbs before Marbs!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for reading

How did you get to be on the show?
I was asked to to an open casting by Tiffany, the series producer way back in June, I was in the mosquito in a meeting with the manager as I ran the Fridays there.

Who are you friendly and not friendly with on the show?
I am friendly with everyone on the cast, more so with the lads, Danny, Sean, Adam !! Layla not so much, I don't really talk to her now !

What is it like being on the show and gaining fame?
We have all had a lot of fun, it was an opportunity for us all, life is short so live it !!

What are your plans for the future?
I will see if there is a series 2 and go from there, if there is brilliant, if there isn't take 'plushparties' to the next level !!

Have you had a favourite moment of the series so far?
Definitely the golf day with Danny and Adam, Danny is the worst player I have ever seen !

What are the positives and negatives of being on the show?
Positives - Shows Liverpool off as a cool, vibrant, growing city, some of the camera shots were amazing
Negative - The show's not to everyones taste, and some people get a little bit carried away with the comments !

Who do you aspire to be like, if anyone?
I don't really aspire to be anyone. Just successful and happy !

Do you have a best friend on the show?
Adam is probably my best friend on the show, I am good mates with Danny and Sean too.

Are you in a relationship with anyone on the show?
Not at the moment no, I am single !

Do you see the cast outside of filming?
Always, mostly on nights out but we all try to meet up once every 2 weeks

Do you have a strong opinion of anyone in the show, if so, who and what is your opinion of then?
It would have to be Layla, i have been disappointed in some of the things i've seen and heard from her. Everything you have seen on the show is true to some extent, I never was with her whilst I was with Elissa, and I certainly didn't say to her I wanted to be in a relationship, she isn't 'marriage' material !

What exactly happened/is happening between you, Elissa and Layla?
Nothing is happening what so ever with me and Layla, i've knocked that one on the head for good !! Me and Elissa are friends and speaking but she needs to loose the 'band member' before anything can happen !!

Is there anyone on the show you really dislike working with?
It got to a point where me and Layla just couldn't film together as all we would do was argue, she became a bit unprofessional.

Did you know any of the cast before the show, and have they changed since the show began?
I knew everyone before the show started apart from Chris & Mark, and they're both great guys !! Everyones pretty level headed !!
Will there be a 2nd series of DSW? (We hope so!)
We're all waiting to hear about it ! But it looks positive so fingers crossed !

How do you feel about/anything to say to the 'haters' on twitter?
I was a little bothered by them at first, but now I just laugh and it really doesn't bother me !!

Do you have any regrets about DSW?
1 or 2 but it was a learning curve so i'll know better next time !!

How did you become a promoter?
I ran student nights, if they're a success, word gets around and you move into the weekend market, Adam and I  teamed up and it has just got bigger and better !

Do you watch MIC or TOWIE and how do you feel about these 'rival' shows?
I have watched TOWIE more than MIC, TOWIE was the original and now is a huge success s
so if we can get DSW on par i'll be happy !!

Do you have any hobbies or unusual talents?
I'm not bad at golf, i used to play off a handicap of 4 ! I can speak welsh and can ride a bike without touching the handle bars !!!!!!

What are your opinions of the 2 newest scousewives?
Keeley's lovely, not as mental and loud as Jodie !! Steve is ok too, definitely punching though and I think he knows it !!!!

Why exactly are you living on a blow up bed in your friends flat?

I lived in an amazing penthouse in the middle of town but the lad I lived with decided to go travelling, soIi moved in with Adam for a few months till I found somewhere for me ! He didn't have a spare bed when I moved in so I was on the blow up bed for a week or so !!!

Would you consider yourself to be a bit of a 'player'?
I guess so !! If I am single and not attached to anyone then i'm going to see a lot of different girls, any lad would do !!

You have been referred to as the Mark Wright of Liverpool, what do you have to say about this?
A lot of people have as were both promoters and have love triangles ! He has done very well for himself so if I can achieve anything like he has ill be very happy !

Is there anything you want to say regarding Layla and Elissa's interviews?
Havent read Elissa's. But i read Layla's, sometimes I think she lives in a dream world ! I do know she has had a lot of abuse, probably the worst out of everyone on the show, that's not nice so I do feel sorry for her with that. But with regards to what she is saying about me, 99% of what she comes out with isn't true, if she never wanted to come home with me she didn't have to, the old saying 'no smoke without fire' ! I dont think she liked the nation seeing exactly what she was like in real life, that's what she got upset about the most !!

Seeing as you're a promoter, can you recommend some places in Liverpool where our readers should go?
'PlushParties' every single Saturday at The Exclusive Newz Bar, Liverpool !! Best Music, Crowd and atmosphere week in week out !!!

Do you have anything to say to our readers?
Fingers crossed for series 2 !!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE DESPERATE SCOUSEWIVES STAR LAYLA FLAHERTY INTERVIEW!

Only yesterday (6/1/12) we revealed that before the weekend was over we would be posting our 3rd interview with a Desperate Scousewives star on this blog! Some hours later we revealed that the interview would be with Scousewife Layla Flaherty and began to edit the interview. Less than 24 hours later once the interview was edited and ready to be posted and so here it is!

Layla Flaherty

Q: How did you get to be on the show?
A: All the cast are linked in some way, whether it be through friendships, modelling, work, relationships etc so when a few of the cast members went and met the producers, they were keen to meet their circle of friends (or allies in that case) and myself and Sam were asked to come meet the producers as they had heard about our relationship history with Joe and Danny and friendships with other cast members.

Q: Who are you friendly and not friendly with on the show?
A: I am friendly with all the cast members and we all get along like a family. Obviously some of us get on better than others but going to keep all the juicy information for on screen.

Q: Any secrets you can reveal about the upcoming episodes?
A: Lips are sealed but expect more drama!!

Q: What is it like being on the show and gaining fame?
A: It’s been an amazing experience and I have loved being in front of the camera which was all so new to me. Getting to live your everyday life out in front of the cameras has been so much fun. With regards to gaining fame, it hasn’t really bothered me that much, at the start it was a bit surreal and took me a while to adjust to everyone recognising me out and about and judging me as if they knew me. It has tested my mental strength and as a result has made me thicker skinned.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: Everything now is an opportunity so let’s see what happens, I would love to eventually get into television presenting.

Q: Have you had a favourite moment of the series so far?
A: Yes, I really enjoyed the Style awards and the little bit of mischief myself and Sam got up to that night.

Q: What are the positives and negatives of being on the show?
A: The main negative is Twitter, the way that people take to it to express such anger and send abusive comments as though they personally know us, but by far the positives of just being on the show outweighs the twitter issues as I get to work with such professional cast and crew.

Q: Who do you aspire to be like, if anyone?
A: Yes Madonna, I have always admired her as a good role model for her strong minded drive and independence and she is not afraid to express herself and does so much humanitarian
work for charity around the world. Madonna is a mum and also has a career that has gone from strength to strength throughout the years. But the main person I aspire to be like is my mum as she is such an inspiration to me as she raised me as a single mum and things were not always easy for her but she is a fighter.

Q: Do you have a best friend on the show?
A: Yes of course that’s Sam. She’s the baby of the Scousewives but we’re like two peas in a pod and double the trouble.

Q: Are you in a relationship with anyone on the show?
A: No.

Q: Do you see the cast outside of filming?
A: Yes all the time, I was friends with most before the show but since filming we have all grown closer which is good. We go on nights out together and also go for lunch/dinner together and meet up regularly.

Q: Do you have a strong opinion of anyone in the show, if so, who and what is your opinion of then?
A: Yes, Joe is not the lad that I though he was, I never thought he’d speak about me the way he has on national TV in such a derogatory manner. It just shows his complete lack of respect for me. Joe and Elissa’s relationship is not something that I want to be involved in and I wish them all the best if they do get back together.

Q: What exactly happened/is happening between you and Joe?
A: Joe and I have got history, he originally asked me out on a date about 5 years ago and I went on a date with him and got bored and went home, I later texted him saying that I wasn’t interested. Little did I know until Elissa informed me on the show that he was with her at that time, which caused a lot of drama. Over the years he persistently asked me at any given opportunity to let him take me out again. Eventually we started seeing each other again and this ‘2pm kiss’ became a reality. I stayed at Joe’s twice and nothing further to comment on that. We went through phases where he would chase me and I him but neither never really knew where we stood with one another, which prevented things from getting more serious. Joe has always made the first move and gave me the impression he’s interested as he always texts me asking to meet him or go on a date, but he does this with lots of women. Joe has very little respect for women and has treated me as this bunny boiler that couldn’t resist him, well ‘he wishes’. I wish him well in whatever he does.

Q: Is there anyone on the show you really dislike working with?
A: At one point it would have been Joe but I’ve moved on now.

Q: Did you know any of the cast before the show, and have they changed since the show began?
A: Yes I knew everyone except Jodie and Chloe as I either modelled or worked with them or knew them from going out and everyone has remained grounded from the very first day of filming.

Q: Will there be a 2nd series of DSW? (We hope so!)
A: I hope so, fingers legs n toes crossed.

Q: How do you feel about/anything to say to the 'haters' on twitter?
A: I love them all, haters are my motivators.. it’s better to be spoken about than not at all.

Q: Do you have any regrets about DSW?
A: Yes my bad relationship with Joe.

Q: How did you become a model?
A: I started with a local modelling agency back home in Ireland at the age of 12 and it’s taken off from there really. It’s not been easy and I’ve had my fair share of knocks just like anyone else but that’s the nature of the business.

Q: Do you watch MIC or TOWIE and how do you feel about these 'rival' shows?
A: Yes I’m addicted to TOWIE, love it. I don’t see them as rivals as they carved the way for reality TV so I have upmost admiration for the cast. I don’t watch MIC.

Q: Do you have any hobbies or unusual talents?
A: If shopping is a hobby, then that.. as I love fashion and girly days out. I also love astrology; it’s something that’s always fascinated me. My unusual talent has got to be Irish dancing which will be featured in ep7 on the show.

Q: What are your opinions of the 2 newest Scousewives?
A: Keely is a lovely down to earth girl, what you see is what you get. She’s so sweet and I love the way she styles her hair. Steve is a nice kid hopefully him and Elissa work out because they are a boss couple and personally I think they look good together.

Q: Have you been treated differently by anyone due to being an Irish scousewife?
A: No, everyone on the show has made me feel at home, I love Liverpool it’s my home from home as I have been here for years now.

Q: On the show you have had fights with Amanda, Elissa, Joe and Jaiden. Would you consider yourself as someone who is looking for a fight and do you have anything to say about these fights?
A: I’m not a bitchy or confrontational person at all, but they're all nice people, I’ve got no bad feelings for anyone on the show.

Q: Do you have anything to say to our readers?
A: Stay tuned, I hope everybody is enjoying watching the drama unfold and It’s an honour to be part of Desperate Scousewives.

CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER 2012 REVEALED!

Michael Madsen is the second celebrity to enter the Big Brother HouseFrankie Cocozza is the fifth celebrity to enter the Big Brother House

Natalie Cassidy is the first celebrity to enter the Big Brother HouseGareth Thomas is the sixth celebrity to enter the Big Brother House

X Factor's Frankie Cocozza and Reservoir Dogs star Michael Madsen are among the 2012 Celebrity Big Brother housemates.

Thirteen stars entered the Channel 5 reality show yesterday evening, which was hosted by Brian Dowling at Elstree Studios. These 13 stars, 12 housemates, walked down the red walkway, up the red carpeted stair and into the alpine theme house complete with a
dark wood like diary room chair!

Joining Cocozza and Madsen are Pineapple Dance Studios musician Andrew Stone, rugby star Gareth Thomas and model Georgia Salpa.

The Only Way Is Essex's Kirk Norcross followed in the footsteps of his former girlfriend and TOWIE co-star Amy Childs and entered the compound, while Playboy twins Kristina Shannonand Karissa Shannon, who count as one housemate, also walked the runway.
Natasha Giggs, who hit the headlines in 2010 after reports of an affair with Manchester United footballer Ryan Giggs, and her Twitter rival WAG Nicola McLean also walked into the famous house.

So Solid Crew's Romeo Dunn, Loose Women's Denise Welch and ex-EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy complete the lineup.

Natalie Cassidy was the first celebrity to enter the house and was immediately called to the diary room where she was set a secret task by big brother! After fitting an ear piece,  Natalie was told that she had to do everything that big brother told her to do, and if she didn't, one celebrity would lose their case. After kissing Frankie Cocozza on the lips twice, telling the housemates that she had made a sex tape, and telling Nicola Mclean that they were allright multiple times, Natalie was relieved of her secret task having lost only one case. Romeo stepped forward to be the person who doesnt get his case however he recieved it after a full house task today!

Vote in our new poll for the celebrity big brother 2012 winner and follow us on twitter @realitykinguk for more CBB updates! If you add us on skype with the username realitykinguk then you can chat to us live during cbb shows and ask us all the questions you want!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH DESPERATE SCOUSEWIVES STAR ELISSA

In December 2011 we announced that we had arranged an interview with Elissa  Corrigan from Desperate Scousewives, we don't like to disappoint so here it is!

Q. How did you get to be on the show?
A. Jaiden initially told me about the show, it was something I ever thought I'd do, but then when producers found out about mine and Joe's history, they wanted to make that a big storyline in the show.

Q.
Who are you friendly and not friendly with on the show?
A.
I'm friendly with pretty much everybody on the show. We sometimes bicker with each other but it's never serious. I get on with Jaiden the best, but I also love all the girls, we stick up for each other. I argue with Joe the most but that's to be expected.

Q.
Any secrets you can reveal about the upcoming episodes?
A.
Nope, my lips are sealed, but there's a few twists and turns!

Q.
What is it like being on the show and gaining fame?
A.
I live being part of the show but I wouldn't say I've gained fame. I'm still the same girl, with the same worries and fears. I'm still doing my day job as a journalist, it will be a longtime before I'd give that up.

Q.
What are your plans for the future?
A.
I want a magazine column, maybe about relationships and I'm working on a book.

Q.
Have you had a favourite moment of the series so far?
A.
I love my scenes with Jaiden. We have been friends for years so it's just so natural and we have a laugh together.

Q.
Who do you aspire to be like, if anyone?
A.
Kim Kardashian in the looks department. Jackie Collins in the career.

Q.
Do you have a bestfriend on the show?
A.
Jaiden

Q.
Are you in a relationship with anyone on the show?
A.
No

Q.
Do you see the cast outside of filming?
A.
Yes all the time

Q.
What exactly, if anything, is happening between you and Joe?
A.
Wait and see, I don't want to give the game away.

Q.
How did you get into journalism?
A.
I'm a trained journalist!! I have a degree in English and History, I then did a degree in Journalism and gained all my journalism credentials including shorthand. I've worked for all the nationals and I still do.

Q.
Is there anyone on the show you really dislike working with?
A.
No.

Q.
Did you know any of the cast before the show, and have they changed since the show began?
A.
I knew a few of them but not very well. Nobody has changed much, we're all in the same boat. If anyone starts getting big headed and I'm sure the rest of us will deflate them!

Q.
Will there be a 2nd series of DSW? (We hope so!)
A.
Hope so.

Q.
How do you feel about/anything to say to the 'haters' on twitter?
A.
Really doesn't bother me, if they want to take the time out to tweet something nasty they obviously haven't got anything better to do.

Q.
Do you have any regrets about DSW?
A.
I swear too much!

Q.
What did you do for christmas and did you enjoy it?
A.
Yes, a quiet family christmas with my friends in Liverpool. My family were away this year.

Q.
On your twitter you describe yourself as a "Relentless self-publicist, fearless heroine, cat mother", would you explain exactly what you mean by this?
A.
I have two pussycats. I've got a voice and I don't mind expressing it.

Q.
Do you watch MIC or TOWIE and how do you feel about these 'rival' shows?
A.
I watch them both and I love them.

Q.
Do you have any hobbies or unusual talents?
A.
I'm an avid reader, I love current affairs. I hate running but I've just signed up to do a marathon, because I'm determined and I live a challenge.

Q.
Anything you would like to say to our readers?
